Оформление USPS посылок из США

Ускорить процесс отправки можно еще на этапе оформления почтового отправления, если это сделать дистанционно на сайте Почты США usps.com. Такая онлайн регистрация позволяет быстро и самостоятельно заполнить и распечатать необходимые для отправки документы и бланки. За почтовые услуги можно оплатить тут же, на сайте USPS. Останется только отвезти отправление в отделение и проинформировать об этом получателя.

Магазины часто так и делают, ведь электронная регистрация позволяет сразу получить номер отслеживания и сообщить его покупателю до фактической отправки посылки, и одновременно с этим готовить заказ к отправке. А покупатель может видеть свое отправление в системе отслеживания USPS и спокойно его ждать, изредка поглядывая, как оно движется на сайте Postal Ninja.

Прежде чем приступить к рассмотрению статусов, выясним, сколько идет посылка из Австрии в Россию. Судя по отзывам на интернет-форумах соответствующей тематики, разброс сроков доставки очень большой. Например, если не используется EMS-сервис, не исключено, что посылка будет доставлена через месяц, а то и дольше.

Объясняют это явление наши соотечественники так: с австрийской стороны отправление, скорее всего, прибудет на таможню максимум за 2 дня. А на российском пункте пропуска может пролежать до 2 недель.

Затем потребуется время на перевозку до сортировочного пункта. На саму сортировку может уйти неделя – вот и получается где-то около месяца. Но в целом сроки доставки – практически лотерея: некоторым россиянам посылка приходила в течение 4 дней.

Fortunately, the Austrian postal service makes it easy to send mail, and the process is much the same as it is everywhere else. Of course, you will probably first need to visit a post office to buy stamps or mailing supplies. For sending postcards or regular letters, you will need to buy a €1 stamp (EU) or €1.80 (Rest of World). However, these rates only apply if your mail weighs less than 20g and measures less than 235mm x 162mm x 5mm. For larger or heavier mail, you will have to choose between priority or economy tariffs.

Notably, although there isn’t a huge price difference, priority mail is much faster. For international mail, you can also choose priority or economy rates. In addition, there are three price zones: EU, Rest of Europe, and Rest of World. You can also opt for additional services such as Track and Trace, next-day delivery, or signature on delivery. 

Track and trace your parcel by tracking number

A tracking number is a unique code assigned to almost all postal items (except for unregistered mail). More often than not, it comprises of several alphanumeric characters but can consist of just numbers as well.

Tracking number format very much depends on the regulations of each postal/courier service. For instance, tracking codes that correspond with UPU S10 standard are made up of 13 characters, while the ones for SpeedPAK are about 30-symbols long.

Следующие три цифры указывают на конкретное местоположение, поэтому важно правильно их указать. Вторая цифра указывает на конкретный регион австрийской земли, третья — на распределение маршрутов, а последняя — на местное почтовое отделение. 

Следует отметить, что Вена имеет несколько уникальные почтовые индексы. Например, все венские почтовые индексы начинаются с цифры 1. Однако вторая и третья цифры обозначают венский район, а их 23. Таким образом, венский почтовый индекс может быть таким, как 1047, что означает район Виден. Существуют и другие специальные почтовые индексы для важных мест и учреждений. Например, аэропорт — 1300, ООН — 1400, а Австрийская национальная служба вещания (ORF) — 1136.

Express Mail Service (далее EMS). Так называется услуга, которую оказывает австрийская почта по экспресс-доставке товарно-материальных ценностей, критичных ко времени использования. Адресат, проживающий в Австрии, сможет получить посылку до 12.00 дня, следующего за датой ее отправки с использованием EMS-сервиса.
