100 years of Franz Mack

Europa-Park pioneer & founding father

Franz Mack was born on 7th March 1921 and took over his father’s factory (now ‘MACK Rides’) in Waldkirch with his brothers after the war. «The world is my playground» served as the family motto and is representative of his efforts towards international expansion. Franz Mack, who was inducted into the ‘Hall of Fame’ of IAAPA in 2006, has numerous inventions and innovations to his name. Following his death in 2010, his creation, Europa-Park, is now under the operation and direction of his children and grandchildren, the 7th and 8th generation of Macks.

Franz Mack was a local entrepreneur through and through; modest, honest, hard-working, with high standards for himself and others. Those characteristics have formed the values of the family business and are the operating basics for his children and grandchildren.

On 7th March 2021, Europa-Park’s founding father Franz Mack would have turned 100 years old.

Themed Area Highlights of Europa Park

There are many different themed areas throughout the park. Some suit young kids, some teenagers, and some adults. In Adventureland, the African Queen will take you on a boat ride around the lake. There is a water playground for the kids. In Arthur, there are slides, a rollercoaster, and a carousel. Austria has the Vienna Wave Swing ride. In England, there is the London Bus—a magic carpet ride, the Crazy Taxis—a demolition derby, and the British Carousel. France has the scary Hypercoaster, which is the third tallest and the fifth fastest roller coaster in the world.

Besides the Voletarium in Germany, there is the Elf Ride, which is a boat ride, and the Panorama Train Station. Greece has the Atlantis Adventure and Flight of Icarus balloon ride. In Grimm’s Enchanted Forest you’ll get to see Cinderella, Dwarf City, and Little Red Riding Hood.

Iceland has a scary inverted roller coaster, Litill Island, and Timburcoater. Ireland is Children’s World with small rides for the kids. Italy has Ghost Castle which is a lot like the Haunted Mansion in Disneyland. Russia has the Panorama train station. Spain has the Adventure Playground.

As you can see, there are a ton of things to do, and much more that can’t simply be listed here.

Entrée gratuite pour les moins de 4 ans et les enfants fêtant leur anniversaire

Les enfants de moins de 4 ans ainsi que les enfants jusqu’à 12 ans inclus le jour de leur anniversaire bénéficient toujours d’un accès gratuit à Rulantica et n’auront pas besoin d’un billet d’entrée. L’entrée gratuite pour les enfants ayant anniversaire n’est valable que le jour même de l’anniversaire et ne peut pas être rattrapée ou reportée.

Current entry and arrival restrictions

From 01.08.2021, different registration and test requirements apply when entering Germany. 

These rules vary depending on the duration of your stay and the country of origin. 

If you want to enter Germany from a risk area (high incidence area or virus mutation area) according to the Robert-Koch-Institut, or you recently spent some time in one of those, entry is only possible under certain circumstances and with a digital registration on entry.

The inspection of these regulations lies with the responsible authorities, not with the Europa-Park Resort. All additional information regarding entering Germany can be found on the website of the Federal Department of Health. 

If you were in contact with a SARS-CoV-2 infected person within the past 14 days or had symptoms of a respiratory infection or high temperature, visiting Europa-Park is unfortunately not possible.

In case a visit is not possible due to the listed reasons you can re-book your visit for a different date or cancel it free of charge. Please contact us:

Входной однодневный билет стоит 45 евро на взрослого и 39 евро на ребенка. Можно взять билет на 2 дня или даже больше, что будет выгоднее, если в планах посещение этого места несколько раз. Также на входе или заранее в интернете можно приобрести экспресс-билет, который позволит посещать аттракционы, не мучаясь часами в очереди. В парке несколько зон разной тематики – Средиземноморье, Китай, Полинезия, Мексика, Дикий запад и СезамоАвентура. Последняя идеально подойдет малышам. Все зоны имеют свои стилизованные кафе. В каждой зоне присутствует особая атмосфера, созданная при помощи красочных атрибутов и декораций.

Диснейленд (Париж, Франция)

Сказочный город, мир детства, место, где каждый взрослый почувствует себя ребенком – Диснейленд в Париже. Добраться до него можно на метро, на автобусе, на специальном экспрессе, а также, купив экскурсию. Как и в других парках, можно приобрести билет на 2 или более дней, что будет выгоднее для тех, кому одного дня будет не достаточно. Диснейленд больше ориентирован на малышей, здесь нет слишком экстремальных аттракционов. Познакомиться с Белоснежкой, полетать с Питером Пеном, побывать в хижине Робинзона, увидеть приведений, почувствовать себя Индианой Джонсом – это и многое другое можно сделать здесь. Великолепные костюмированные представления и вечернее шоу с фейерверком над замком Спящей Красавицы напомнят о том, что мечты имеют свойства сбываться.

Парк Леголенд (Дания)

Датский парк Леголенд отличается от всех остальных парков развлечений тем, что на его строительство ушло около 60 миллионов деталей лего. Парк Леголенд расположен в городке Биллунд. Именно это место является Родиной всеми любимого конструктора. Здесь можно полюбоваться на макеты достопримечательностей, популярных у туристов, покататься на аттракционах, посетить 4D кинотеатр. На территории парка есть автошкола для детей, где можно покататься на машинках, после чего стать обладателем водительских прав. Любители лего могут собирать сами различные модели в специальной зоне парка. В конце насыщенного дня можно купить любой понравившийся конструктор – выбор огромен.

Парк аттракционов Эфтелинг (Нидерланды)

Попадая в голландский парк Эфтелинг, понимаешь, что попал в сказку. Здесь живут такие персонажи, как Красная Шапочка, Рапунцель, Мальчик-с-пальчик и многие другие герои. Побродить по замку Спящей Красавицы, посмотреть представление в Замке Ужасов, сфотографироваться с феями и гномами – в парке Эфтелинг гарантировано можно погрузиться в детство. Парк делится на 4 зоны, которые называются очень загадочно – Суровое, Иное, Сказочное и Царство путешествий. В Сказочном проживают различные таинственные герои. Flamingo Land (Великобритания)

Flamingo Land является единственным парком развлечений в Великобритании, который сочетает зону аттракционов и зоопарк. Изначально в парке было много фламинго – отсюда название. Сейчас здесь живут несколько сотен различных птиц, зверей и рептилий. Ежедневно здесь проходят шоу морских львов и представления с участием птиц. Также в парке Flamingo Land можно покормить пингвинов рыбой. В парке есть множество кафе, где можно перекусить, а рядом отель и кемпинговая зона, где можно остаться отдохнуть после развлечений.

Safety

You can find an information board in front of every attraction site, which details all safety precautions and limitations. Children of a certain age and height are only permitted to ride rollercoasters (e.g. 11, 140 means aged 11 and over, and 140 cm tall). Some attractions also require a maximum height. These safety instructions have been determined by the MOT, and need to be strictly followed. More details

Visitor information Office

You will receive all information, park tickets, brochures etc. at the information desks as well at the main entrance, the Euro-Tower, the big lake and in the Spanish themed area next to the adventure playground.

You can also withdraw cash at all 4 information points of the park.

Photo & video recordings

Filming on your smartphone or other cameras during the rides is not permitted on the bigger and faster rollercoasters. GoPros that are fixed around the head, selfiesticks or cameras that are attached around the wrist are also forbidden. There are some exceptions: Cameras that are secured with a band around the chest. However, the staff make the decision onsite whether a belt of this kind is appropriate for the ride or not. Loose items need to be kept away and are not allowed to be held during the ride. Instructions by the staff need to be followed.

Cash Machines

You can find cashpoints at the information board at the main entrance, the lake, the entrance to the Spanish Arena, and in Greece next to the entrance of the ‘Cassandra’s Curse’ as well as in the hotels ‘Colosseo’, ‘Bell Rock’, ‘Krønasår’ and ‘Santa Isabel’ and in the camp resort. You can also pay by card in some places of the park.

First aid

The First Aid Station is located next to the Euro-Mir rollercoaster in Russia. Professional paramedics are available during opening hours. Paramedics are also distributed around the park. In the case of an emergency, please inform a member of staff.

Lockers

Rent out a locker for a small fee at the main entrance. Please note that there is a limited number of lockers.

Shopping service

Don’t worry about carrying your shopping bags with you around all day! We will bring all of the shopping you have done until 3pm, safe and free of charge to the pushchair rental/main entrance, as well as to the reception of the Europa-Park Hotels. You can collect your shopping bags after 5.30pm.

Extended opening hours

After noon you can ask a member of staff or find out in our Europa-Park App about when the park closes.

Single Rider

The rollercoasters Blue Fire Megacoaster Powered by Nord Stream 2, WODAN — Timburcoaster, ARTHUR, Voletarium and Eurosat — CanCan Coaster have a Single Rider entry. You can cut your waiting time by getting on a ride by yourself, when a seat becomes available.

Reserved parking/ Kiss & Ride

Park directly by the main entrance! Buy your ticket on-site (€25.00¹ per parking space) or in advance at our ticket shop.

On the parking spaces marked ‘reserved parking’ you can park free of charge for 20 minutes to drop off passengers or pick up your family or friends.
